I made a really big mistake which hurt a reader who comments on my blogs and I’ve just started being friends with. Actually, it wasn’t just her that I messed up on. Some of my comments left on my posts were accidentally deleted. I am still relatively new to Wordpress and trying to figure out all the technical aspects of it. I went to the WordPress site to see how I can restore comments and long story short, I guess it’s common and was able to restore and retrieve the accidentally deleted comments. So, for those of you who haven’t seen your comments posted, again, please forgive me. All of your comments are very important to me and I appreciate each one.
Someone asked me why I used “Word Verification” and it’s because I get a lot of spam. Which is also how I probably messed up with deleting some of your comments. Yesterday, I received one about “Fetish Wear” huh? And believe me it wasn’t a readers comment. I know it’s inconvenient for a lot of you and a bother. I just don’t know any other way around filtering those who are serious readers and those who are actually “professional” which is why I also posted a way on my previous post so that YOUR blog doesn’t get spammed. I don’t know what else to say, except again I’m deeply sorry if I hurt or offended anyone, it wasn’t intentional.

I am aware of the not using the email address and instead doing: mrwicker AT aol DOT com. The keycode (word verification) was not up there until yesterday. I always recommend to people that they use “comment moderation” that way you see the comments before allowing them.
Not only does Blogger do a good job with this, they even have a spam filter, which works pretty good.
I asked around before starting my blog, and most of the F/B I got was to go with blogger. I do not know if typepad or wordpress are any more user friendly or less user friendly or have issues or not, as I have never been with them. I do know that occasionally there are issues with blogger uploading photos, or getting to your dashboard.
To me, I think everything is NOT perfect and has errors or makes errors including people.
So if commenting deleting indeed was an error, your friends will understand and say no worries!
so no worries

Just stopping by to wish you a most Enchantingly Bewitching Halloween/Samhain Wendy! Hope you have divine evening! ~ the other Wendy ;o)
Hey Wendy
Dont worry perfection is a thing even the gods have difficulty handling! Im new too and I have trouble with all sorts of things! I havent found any trouble myself but I am sure that whoever did will totally forgive you its not like you are doing it on purpose! We love you and you are awsome, mistakes included! You’ll figure it out and be a better blogger for it.
Blessings & love.
Happy Samhain
PS I like the Word verification, its not about irritating readers its about protecting EVERYONE, I dislike moderating comments only because you dont see your comment right away and if a blogger doesnt keep up on it a week later your comment still hasnt been posted (this has happened to me)
Love & Blessings

Thank you beautiful one for your words and wishes. Darn it, I thought I was “purfekt” ; ) May your ancestors love and magic brush your heart and spirit with their wings.
Don’t beat yourself up, Wendy, things like this happen to everyone. I’m sure your readers understand this – I know I do.
I’m wishing you and your adorable kitties a very blessed Samhain, fellow sister, from across the pond

Thank you Lyn, I do my best but as Faerie Sage said even the Gods themselves have trouble with being perfect ; ) Thank you for being such a loyal friend and reader!
Don’t worry too much about it! It always takes a little while to get used to sorting out comments and posting them when you use verifications. I don’t use them on my blog, but I’ve gotten very little spam somehow. *knocks on wood*
Wishing you and yours a blessed Samhain. May the spirits of ancestors bless you with their company this night and your new year be joyous. )o(

Thank you Dee, I just got another whacky spam message this morning. Do people have that much time on their hands? And may the spambots out there stay away from you and your blog. Looking forward to hearing about your Samhain night and wishing you many blessings this season.
No worries whatsoever! These things happen. I’ve never used WordPress – but even Blogger screws things up for me. Hope you have an enchanting evening. Theresag

Hi Kimberly, welcome to my blog and so glad you found it! If you look at my links list on my static page of “My favorite Bewitching Blogs” you’ll find lots of “us” witches out here in the blogosphere. I hopped on over to your blog and loved it. Especially your blog title, lol…Looking forward in getting to know you better and thank you for commenting.
Things like that just happen, it’s inevitable I think
Friends and followers understand!! I am a “blog newborn” and don’t have the nuances down yet; I had NO idea to write out my email address by spelling out the “at & dot”~~thank you for the tip~~I am learning everday!! The blog world can be a little overwhelming at first~~I took the giant leap of deciding to start a blog (because I enjoy those I follow so much I hope to give back as well) but after settling on a name for it, two weeks later and I am still dizzy at the thought of writing my first post!!!
Thanks Kim for your kindness and understanding. I guess for us Newbies, it’s live and learn, right? And I just found out about how to leave my email addy. too. I think I’m going to post more about what I’ve learned along the way. I don’t have your blog link. Would you mind sending it to me or leaving it here. I want to come and visit you! And it took me six months before I decided to write my first blog post and I still get nervous. I think for me what helped was just to realize that don’t let “perfection” get in the way and that some posts you’ll like better than others and give yourself and your blog time to flow easier, if that’s possible. Even the most experienced bloggers, I’ve learned still get a little anxious when it comes to blogging : )
Aw, that happens, Wendy! No worries, we still love you!
I use the Captcha code too, and I still get spam! I got one for a london esccort service the other day…wha?
Leila, I promise I’ll keep your secret about the London Escort as long as you don’t bust me about the fetish wear I use, lol…So much for “Captcha.”
