I’ve posted about the “Practical Magic” party and my blog entry for that. Even though it was a little rocky for me, being a newbie to the scene and all, I still am glad I did it and am ready to throw myself into new parties. One thing I really love about these parties, is the opportunity to visit new blogs and meet new people. The frosting on the cake, is the incredible and generous giveaways some of these blogs are having. So, I’ll be posting the different events along the way.
As, I said, the “Practical Magic” party was the first and now Mrs. B over at “Confessions of a Pagan Soccer Mom” is having a 31 day extravaganza. Each day she will list a guest blogger, a blog to visit themed around Samhain/Halloween and yes, the giveaways.
It started yesterday and so it’s not to late to participate entering the giveaways, reading the guest bloggers posts and blog hopping.
Today the haunted blog to visit is “The Whimsical Cottage“. It’s like stepping into another realm over at her site and definitely worth checking out, pagan/wiccan or not!
There are three giveaways today that I love and would be so happy to win.
The first is a very magical hand-made “Samhain Goddess” doll which you can see below.”Carioca Witch” is the etsy artist who made this and this is the first time I’ve seen her art. Her art is affordable and very high-quality…Go check her store out. You also probably know Nydia from her blog; “Bringing Up Salamanders” which I is always fun to visit.
The third giveaway (with yesterday being the first giveaway) is from “Weiser Books” a publication house I’ve never heard of before, but I have a feeling I’m going to be in trouble now, because books are a passion of mine! The book is; “The Weiser Field Guide to Witches“.
If you’ve never been to “October Farm” blog, you’re missing out. I live in Southern California and miss the real “feeling” of living in the country and visiting farms, stores and villages that are lacking here. The giveaway from there is an authentic cornucopia from the Goddess!
“The winner will get a basket including a pumpkin potpourri, pumpkin seeds, maple syrup, honey bear, mini Indian corns, dip mixes, pumpkin candies, pumpkin plate, vintage pack of Halloween matches….treats galore!!!”
So, you really don’t have any excuses now not to go check out both Mrs. B’s blog, visit the haunted blog of the day; “The Whimsical Cottage” and read a really interesting guest blog post here; “How to Prepare to Write the (Pagan) Novel” written by Annie Keller.
