Hello friends,

First I want to say that I was so touched by all of your beautiful blessings, your supportive advice and compassion from my last post. I may never get to meet all of you physically but that doesn’t mean you aren’t as important to me as my friends in my physical world. In fact I feel closer to most of you than I do my own family. Perhaps when I DO move you’ll come visit and we’ll have a big party? I’m serious!

I’m a born INFP (check out what your typology is and then you’ll know a little more about me and learn a little more about yourself) which means I go inward to recharge myself and I kind of forget the outer world.

So when I feel overwhelmed by life or there’s a lot going on within my internal world, I tend to “neglect” friends which is never my intent but I know a lot of people who are close to me either get hurt at my lack of absence or think I don’t like them anymore. I know I’m really sensitive to any type of perceived abandonment due in large part to my upbringing and just my basic nature.

And when I started my blog I really aimed to make commitments to not only myself with my writing but to also extend myself to others to form deep connections. So, I wanted to make sure that none of you were left wondering where I was or felt that I didn’t value all of you, even if you don’t leave comments. Again, mostly my projections I know.

Anyway, enough of the analysis ; ) Despite there being no more advances on the home front in terms of my future I’m in a much stronger and clearer place than I was from my last blog post. Athena the goddess has stepped in and my view about life and how I want to live it has done an enormous shift.

I’ll post later about how Athena and I are connecting psychologically in the archetypal realm, spiritually as a pagan and all the intense synchronicities that Athena has thrown my way . Put it this way, when Athena shows up you better listen!

I love to read how other witch’s and pagans (and other people who may not be on the magickal path) connect to their own spiritual guides, gods/goddesses, angels, etc…and since I owe Athena big time, I’m going to dedicate a lot of posts to her.

I haven’t really visited a lot of other blogs because I’m still sorting out this and that and focusing on the symbolic life which is the best place for me right now. I’ve been madly “pinning” on the Pinterest site and if you don’t know about Pinterest, definitely check it out and see if you like it.

I can lose myself happy as a pig in mud there gazing at images and daydreams of others. I know you’re still probably unsure of what the site and pinning actually means so here’s a little excerpt from Pinterst (and no I don’t have any personal or professional investments with the site, I just love it and thought many of you might like it also.

Pinterest is a Virtual Pinboard.

Pinterest lets you organize and share all the beautiful things you find on the web. People use pinboards to plan their weddings, decorate their homes, and organize their favorite recipes.

Best of all, you can browse pinboards created by other people. Browsing pinboards is a fun way to discover new things and get inspiration from people who share your interests. To get started, request an invite.

Again, if you’d like an invite just let me know and I’ll send you one if you don’t already belong to Pinterest. In the meantime, I thought I’d share with you some great quotes I found there that reflect some of my thoughts and ideas. I collect quotes that really resonate with me and maybe you’ll see a quote below that you also like.

I’ll leave it at that and know again how much I really appreciate all of you and that I’m doing well, actually better than well. I’ll catch up with all of you eventually and keep you updated with my own crazy life ; )

If you were to pick a quote below that calls to you the most which one would it be?

About Wendy S.

I'm slightly "mad" with a good shaking of whimsy thrown in for good measure. When I'm not up, I'm down and sometimes if I'm lucky I'm somewhere in between due largely to having Bipolar Disorder and crazy genes ; ) I'm pagan by nature and witch by choice and I have two very beloved and spoiled feline familiars, Miss Bella and her sister, Sele. Am I a crazy cat lady? I'm an introvert in the "real" world but I love meeting new friends especially in the blogosphere where I've been blessed to meet many of you. Please introduce yourself if you'd like so that we can get to know each other better, especially if you have a blog that I can visit. And thank you for flying the friendly skies of United Broom Stick Airlines with me. Hold onto your hat, it's going to be an interesting ride.

  1. As an introvert myself, no explanation is needed, LOL! I like the last quotation the best. It’s very calm and grounded.

I’m an introvert, too, but I’m going to have to go take the test again because it’s been years and I forget my exact results. I probably should have made a note of it somewhere, but organization is NOT one of my strengths.

LOVE Pinterest! I went over to take a peek and oh my, I could get lost over there for a very long time. Such gorgeous images!

As a Christian I’m probably expected by most to be drawn to the last quote, but while it’s true, I find it a little trite and I don’t like to do that to my faith. You’ve got a verse from my favorite poet and poem there (I had that verse in the header of my old blog), but the first quote is probably the one that speaks the most to me these days. It’s true that nothing happens without a reason. We just may not understand that reason.

Love you, Wendy. Glad you seem to be feeling a bit better. :)

Thanks for checking in, Wendy. I am glad you are alright. I’m introverted, too. And when I am in a “way,” I, too, tend to push others away. And I push myself away in the process, if that makes any sense. I love all the quotes you shared here. I can relate to ALL of them! I try to hop on to Pinterest when I can. It is fun – especially when you know what you’re doing, finally. LOL Take care and know that you are in my thoughts. xoxo

  4. avatar Jeanne says:

So happy to hear you are doing okay. :0) Gomez and I send huge {{HUGS}} your way! The first quote about things falling apart really resonates with me. After the last 3 years of Life seeming to disintegrate around us, things are starting to come together once more. And the next to the last quote, about Something Fabulous Calling Your Name has Wendy written all over it!!!

  5. avatar Oma Linda says:

“Sometimes the dreams”….is my pick de jour.
Glad that you’ve ridden out the storm and come to calm place inside you with the help of the Goddess. It’s lovely to feel your strength in your writing. I’d love to check out Pinterest and will very soon, after I get the grands both back in school and I have a day to myself again.
Going to see a new donkey at MBF this morning and will post about it tonight. smooches and squoozes, Oma Linda

  6. Happy to hear you are finding your center space again. As both a Libra and an introvert, I can relate with you on so many levels. Ironically, I have written a book that pretty much bares my soul about my life and my life with my cats – kind of crazy considering how private I am, but it actually was quite therapeutic and healing!! My step-daughter just did a guest post on my blog today – it was all about perceptions and she used the book the Alchemist as a guide. It is quite fascinating to know how others perceive you as a person. I mention this, only because I think you would really appreciate the message and inspirational tone of her post. I find you to be very honest and courageous in your expressions and reflections to us in your posts and I firmly believe in the synchronicity of your life… all will be well…

I’m so so happy to see you, Wendy !!!
Thanks to stop by my blog to let me know you are o.k. : )
    Welcome back Hugs
    and Furry kisses to you
    xoxo

Trust me when I say that I understand completely. I am the same way. You just take things in your own time…and when you are ready…put the tea kettle on for me:)

I’m that way, too. Thanks for reminding me of pinterest. I need to get back over there and look around. :)

    Hi Wendy,

I have been meaning to ask you where you are considering moving to?. Also why do you call magic…”magick”???. I am glad to see that you are feeling better in your yourself about your future.
