PrintI’m sitting here in my nightgown, being lazy and yes, enjoying chocolate again thank you very much ; ) and I happened to see this amazing video on a blog, Jen Gray that just I discovered today. I thought all of us “imperfect” women/men who bash ourselves up so much for not being pretty enough, smart enough, “fill in the blank____ enough” than this is the perfect video to share.
(The video was made by Allison Tyler in all her beauty.)

About Wendy S.
I'm slightly "mad" with a good shaking of whimsy thrown in for good measure. When I'm not up, I'm down and sometimes if I'm lucky I'm somewhere in between due largely to having Bipolar Disorder and crazy genes ; ) I'm pagan by nature and witch by choice and I have two very beloved and spoiled feline familiars, Miss Bella and her sister, Sele. Am I a crazy cat lady? I'm an introvert in the "real" world but I love meeting new friends especially in the blogosphere where I've been blessed to meet many of you. Please introduce yourself if you'd like so that we can get to know each other better, especially if you have a blog that I can visit. And thank you for flying the friendly skies of United Broom Stick Airlines with me. Hold onto your hat, it's going to be an interesting ride.
This is “perfect,” Wendy. Thank you!!!
Loved this! I shared it to Facebook for all my BEAUTIFUL friends.
I read once that if women are only considered “acceptable” if they wear full makeup and otherwise strive to criticize and erase every imperfection, then our society is forcing us to wear veils as surely as any Muslim woman who must wear a burka. There’s a great deal of truth in that, I think. Simply being your natural self is an act of rebellion and resistance.
Simply awesome. Thanks for sharing this. I watched it twice and feel freakin amazing. I am now going to spluge on ice cream and maybe some chocolate sauce on top. With sprinkles…yes.
Yay! You have your chocolate back again!! This is definitely a perfect post
I need this more than you’ll ever know.
Great video!!! Absolutely Perfect in every way! :0)
Seems like Society, not just advertisers – but then advertisers seem to dictate what society should accept and expect from people – has trained so many of us to believe that we are what we look like. If we look beautiful, then therefore we are ‘better’ than so many others who are not endowed with clear skin, straight noses and pearly white teeth. I have found the reverse to be all too often true – the people who look like they ‘woke up on the wrong side of the bed’ are quite often the nicest, most generous people.
The young gals of this world would do well to see this video. And not listen to hype of needing beauty products to make them ‘foxy’.
That’s absolutely perfect Wendy! Thank you for sharing!
This was one of the BEST videos I have EVER seen! Thank you soooo much for sharing!
Plain and simple – us women rock! Beauty radiates from the soul outward, not from our skin, the shape of our nose, or what color our hair is.
Thank you for sharing this Wendy and thank you to Allison for this very well made video.
Love this! I just read an article where in Britian L’Oreal ads featuring Julia Roberts are being banned for being airbrushed.
That’s one reason I quit buying magazines like “More” I always ended up feeling inadequate. Nobody looks like the women in ads.
How are the divine Sele and Miss Bella?
Hugs))
