“If man has no tea in him, he is incapable of understanding truth and beauty.”~Japanese Proverb~
I love my morning cup of tea, it’s part of my morning ritual. For some people, coffee is what wakes them up to a new day and for me it’s tea. So, I thought I’d join my fellow tea lovers on “Tea on Tuesdays” where a group of blogger’s celebrate tea and the act of drinking it on Tuesday mornings.
I first read about this tea drinking get together on Elizabeth’s blog; Altered Book Lover and knew I had to join in. I have over twenty types of tea and each morning I select the one that best fits my mood. This morning I chose this tea;
You can see all the different spices and herbs in this tea which is perfect for a morning where my brain feels like it’s covered in cotton.
I found this tea on Etsy from this seller, Wildroot, and I love all the teas I bought from them. I look forward each morning to choose my special tea. And then I have a plethora of special honeys I choose from another seller on Etsy seller, “Honey Run Farm.” They make seasonal honey’s and I can actually taste the different flowers used, I’m crazy about honey. Here’s the honey I chose for today;
This particular honey is the “Spring” honey and it’s much lighter and delicate than the other seasonal honeys. We all need a bit of sweetness to start off the day and honey is my choice to do that.
Each aspect of my tea drinking ritual brings me nourishment, delight and a great satisfaction. So, please join me and my other tea drinkers on Tuesday mornings.
If you’d like to join in on “Tea on Tuesdays” you can read about how to sign up as well as visit all the other tea drinkers here where Kimmi from “Art in Red Wagons” is our hostess.
Are you a coffee drinker or a tea drinker in the mornings? And if so, what is your favorite coffee or tea?
“Drink your tea slowly and reverently, as if it is the axis on which the world earth revolves – slowly, evenly, without rushing toward the future.” ~Thich Nat Hahn~

Welcome to Tea Tuesday, Wendy. I’m SO glad you decided to join us. It will be lots of fun and with all that tea you have, you are very well prepared. The blend you have today looks wonderful. I’m really impressed with the variety. It sounds divine
I have to admit, although I’m not much for honey in my tea, I am salivating right now as I envision the honey spread on some warm bread or toast. Yummy.

I keep saying I am going to join this, and I actually did ONE post a while back. I’ll have to get my stuff together and become a regular. GREAT post. I see you like honey!! I have to try to use that more often.
I have to start trying some new teas, against doctors orders. I am HUGE ICE TEA drinker, or should say was. I am a kidney stone producer. Tea is one of the items that can lead to stones, as it is loaded with oxilates (along with several other vegetation-like spinach, which I also love :() I guess if I try to stick to only Tuesdays maybe I can do it. Hi Elizabeth, how are you? (we met and became followers of each other’s blog last OWOH, in fact Elizabeth was one of my 2 winners!
Warm blessings,
Susan
it is a lovely 22 degrees here in NJ today

Oooo, how cool to have different seasonal flavors of honey. That’s my favorite “sweetener” in tea.

I drink one cup of instant joe first thing in the morning to kick start my heart and other organs. Then I drink tea during working hours — Stash Chai and Tetley Earl Grey are my tipples of choice. On my own time, it’s Diet Coke all the way, baby! Oh and some skim milk to hopefully ward off osteoporosis in my old age.

Wendy- I am a general caffine drinker….if it’s got caffine I drink it. Where I live coffee is actually quite expensive and I hate instant coffee so I mostly drink tea. And I love herbal teas. This may sound like a dof question but have you ever tried ceylon tea with milk and sugar?. I only ask because when I lived in California no one had heard of tea being drunk like that before. That’s actually the most common way tea is drunk around world. I also found it funny how you guys don’t have electric kettles in America!
I would love to join this….but I am nine hours ahead of you….your morning is my evening
Welcome Wendy!
I used to be a coffee drinker, but had to quit if I wanted to be able to sleep at night
I have one or two cups of breakfast tea – and then herbal tea the rest of the day ….. and honey? yes, definitely! We buy our honey from local beekeepers and try to get blackberry or raspberry honey. I had read somewhere that eating local honey helps prevent kids from getting pollen allergies.
The very best honey I ever had though was pineapple honey in Hawaii. OMG that was so so so good!
Happy Tea Tuesday! hugs, Kimmie

Hi Wendy! Nice to meet you @ Tea on Tuesdays! The tea you picked for today sounds wonderful! Thanks for visiting me!
Happy Tea-day!

Darn, I just lost my comment but will start again. Please forgive me for being absent lately, Wendy! I’d love to join you in this Tea on Tuesdays and will start next week.
It’s interesting what Susan said about tea leading to kidney stones. I, too, am a kidney stone sufferer and still have some that were unable to be removed so I’d hate to make things worse but I don’t want to give up tea! Perhaps limiting it to one or two days a week would be best.
I love chai tea, a simple jasmine, mint and many others. I don’t usually sweeten them but will sometimes but heated milk with chai. I’m allergic to honey so cannot use that as a sweetener.
I’ve not been overly adventurous in my tea drinking so I’m hoping to learn from you masters. Oh, this is going to be fun!

What a fun post! I do like tea, but I drink it mostly in the evenings. Coffee is my brew of choice for the morning. Two big cups!!! My favorite teas are chai and earl grey. For coffee, I love flavored – especially pumpkin spice.
Thanks for the tea and honey links (I’m a big fan, too!).

Welcome to Tea Tuesday! I have to have my morning coffee. After that I move to tea in cold weather. I really don’t drink much hot tea when it gets warm. Like the quotes!
Hi Wendy, thanks for dropping by for tea, your Eocus & Energy Tea sounds very interesting. I’m afraid I am a very plain tea drinker, but I love the rituals associated with tea drinking and coffee drinking. I am a bit more of a snob when it comes to coffee…..I will not drink any old coffee. Hope you have a great Tuesday.
How funny….I had no clue this even existed when I started my blog in order to share my love of tea. I even do my “Tea Time” blogs on Tuesday. Trippy stuff…lol.
I am definitely a coffee drinker in the morning. My favorite is Starbucks Yukon blend but it’s overpriced so I buy an organic brand from the supermarket which is almost as good and much less expensive. (I tire of paying for the Starbucks name.)
Having said that, I love tea – and I make my own. I make one that is guaranteed to put you to sleep at night and I make one that I call “Crazy Lady Hormone Tea.” I’m sure you can guess when I drink that!!

There is nothing like a good cup of tea. I have to agree where I love my coffee, tea is all together different and special…. I love a dark english tea with some rich local honey… and maybe a dash of cinnamon, although I also love trying all the other exotic flavors too. enjoy a cup on me Wendy and be sure to use a pretty cup. blessings
What is this about you USA gals not having an electric jug? How do you boil your water for tea?
I couldn’t live with out my jug – infact i break soo many as flick the jug for a cuppa – then get side tracked, have to flick it again….
Me I like plain tea with milk & 1/4 sugar – have at least 4 cups in morning.
Then I have coffee for rest of the day.
Never got into herbal tea tried a few times.
Fun post!
Love Leanne

Ahhh tea, so comforting.
I have a cabinet full of herbal teas that I like during the evenings or when I’m sick, but first thing in the morning? My days start with an ice cold Coke. Not very inspiring but I am addicted to that icy jolt of caffeine and sugar.
