Merry Meet1 200x200 Welcome!

Welcome to my new blog!  I do hope that you’ll enjoy the ride on our broomsticks as we fly into the magic and mystery of life and of course, cats!

I assume if you found your way here, you saw my giveaway post over at eWitch. I have been really blessed to get my paws wet into the blogging world, along with meeting new friends and being part of an amazing circle of women where I’m a co-author.

If you would like to know more about me and my “girls” please go check out the “About” Page and see the photos of my two cats that own me, Miss Bella and Sele. Obviously, I love cats and really look forward to hearing about how cats have influenced your life. Not all of my posts will be about cats, but more often than not, they will involve the feline race in some way or another.

Let me tell you now about the giveaway. I really wanted to give another woman a chance to honor herself as a Goddess which every woman is. So, I selected items that have helped me on my path to see the divine goddess in myself along with honoring other women as well.

The first really special part of this giveaway is this gorgeous Mother Earth/Gaia statue. I received her as a gift a while ago and she told me it is time to move on to another woman’s house to bestow the blessings she has given me. Look at how sensual and loving she is…

Earth Mother Statue3 300x400 Welcome!

If you would like the stand she is sitting upon, I can include that too, happily.

I’ve blogged over at eWitch about menstruation, or what I call “Moontime” as women move with the moon cycles. Please go check out the post to read more about my thoughts and feelings about Moontime. I know many women are uncomfortable about the whole topic and it is my wish that we as women really grow to love ourselves more and see Moontime for the gift it is. So, the next few items tie into that theme.

First is a wonderful book that I found over ten years ago that has been so cherished. I re-read it over and over again for the wisdom, spirituality and general loveliness of it. The book is “A Circle of Stones…Woman’s Journey to Herself.” The book isn’t about a woman’s Moontime but ties in beautifully with the theme. It is both for women who still have a Moontime, those women who are past bleeding and have become wise crones (I use the term “Crones” reverently) and also a wonderful way for the maidens who haven’t started their journey with Moontime. Here is a short excerpt of it (and again, I talk more about this over on the blog post I mentioned above over on eWitch).

How might your life have been different, if as a young woman, there had been a place for you, a place where you could go to be among women…a place for you when you had feelings of darkness? And, if there had been another woman, somewhat older, to be with you in your darkness, to be with you until you spoke…spoke out your pain and sorrow.

I get shivers of a deep knowing that is so primal and beautiful every time I read this book. You will receive a brand new copy of “A Circle of Stones…”

Another part of this giveaway is this beautiful Moontime candle that I burn every month when I am bleeding. I found these candles a long time ago and snatched quite a few of them up. Here is a photo of the candle.

Moontime Candle 300x400 Welcome! The candle comes with a ritual on parchment paper that the maker of these candles devised especially for a woman’s Moontime. I can tell you how powerful and magickal these candles are! If you are a Crone or a Maiden and you happen to win, I have arranged with my good-friend and co-author over at eWitch; Luna Petunia to make a special candle for you. If you don’t know her well yet, I urge you to strongly head over to her etsy shop or her blog.

The last item of this giveaway is a white Sage smudge stick. I burn mine every day to cleanse and purify my space and myself. I first learned about “smudging” when I started to learn more about the Native American path and befriended a man named “Wolf” who is from the Iroquois tribe. I started to attend local sweat-lodges and discovered how powerful and wonderful Sage is. The aroma is you never have smelled it is…well, like a cleaner, earthier version of marijuana. But the energy of the two plants are completely different! To learn more about smudging; you can check out this link.

9/18: I just “discovered” another great blog post on “Dreaming of Rosemary” that brings in the magickal element of smudging. I really love the blog and this post.

Giveaways 400x300 Welcome!

These are all the items together. Now to enter for the chance to win, you can do all or just some of the following. The more you do, the greater the chances you have to win.

1) Become a follower of eWitch

2) Become of a follower of this blog

3) Post about the giveaway if you have a blog.

Please leave a comment on how you have entered and if you have posted about this; please leave the link, so we can all enjoy it.

About Wendy S.

I'm slightly "mad" with a good shaking of whimsy thrown in for good measure. When I'm not up, I'm down and sometimes if I'm lucky I'm somewhere in between due largely to having Bipolar Disorder and crazy genes ; ) I'm pagan by nature and witch by choice and I have two very beloved and spoiled feline familiars, Miss Bella and her sister, Sele. Am I a crazy cat lady? I'm an introvert in the "real" world but I love meeting new friends especially in the blogosphere where I've been blessed to meet many of you. Please introduce yourself if you'd like so that we can get to know each other better, especially if you have a blog that I can visit. And thank you for flying the friendly skies of United Broom Stick Airlines with me. Hold onto your hat, it's going to be an interesting ride.

I have shared your new blog and giveaway on Facebook as well.

Your Mother Earth/Gaia statue is beautiful!  I love how you recognized the signs from the Goddess that it was time to share her with others.  That is so selfless and wonderful.  I too smudge my house with sage, but not everyday.  I found it cleansing and refreshing.

    Blessings,
